Anikó Novák

Piano artist and teacher Anikó Novák received her Master’s degree from the Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest where she was first admitted to the Exceptional Young Talents’ Class at the age of 12.

While still attending the Liszt Academy, she won several awards including the Best Pianist Prize of the Academy.

She has worked with artists including Philip Glass, Dennis-Russel Davies, Barnabás Dukay, Edit Klukon, Zoltán Kocsis, and Tamás Vásáry. As a chamber musician she has accompanied trios, quartets and instruments ranging from violin and cello to tuba, flute and clarinet.

As a piano artist, Anikó has performed over 150 national and international concerts in almost all major cities in Europe and in the USA, Malaysia, Japan, China and Taiwan, with over 30 live and studio concert recordings for the Hungarian Radio.

In 2001 she was the first Hungarian artist to give a recital in the Young Talents concert series at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.
While still performing regularly, her activities have been complemented by teaching and creative music pedagogy.

Since 2004, Anikó has been part of the teaching staff of The Teacher Training Faculty of the Liszt Academy in Budapest and since 2009, she has been a master professor at The International Kodaly Institute of the Liszt Academy in Kecskemét.
